Electrical Specifications: Wavemaster 48 1.0HP motors typically draw 7-8.0 Amps at high speed on 230V systems, or 11-12.0 Amps on 115V configurations. For 115-volt applications, expect approximately 11-12.0 Amps at high speed; 230-volt systems run around 8.0 Amps on high speed.
Important: Never install an oversized impeller attempting to increase spa power—this damages motors and causes overheating at high speed. Always reference amperage charts to verify correct horsepower rating.
Frame Identification: Distinguish between 48 and 56 Frame wet ends by measuring motor through-bolt spacing. The 48 Frame measures 3 5/8" between bolts (5 3/16" diagonal X pattern) with 1/4" bolt heads. The 56 Frame measures 4 1/8" between bolts (5 3/4" diagonal) with 5/16" bolt heads.
