Description
This component is a Cal Spa M7 Style Retrofit 5.5KW Heater Complete Assembly that includes the heating tube, element, M7 sensors, split nuts, and gaskets. The unit is equipped with a 5.5kW heating element and tube featuring (2) M7 sensors positioned at each end, along with (2) split nuts and gaskets. Please note that jumper wires will need to be fabricated or purchased separately to complete the electrical connections.
This retrofit assembly is designed to replace the original heater located inside the bottom section of a Cal Spa pack—the one surrounded by white insulation with two sensors at each end that are zip-tied to the tube and connected to the control board. The key difference: the original design has the heating element welded to the outside of the tube, while this upgraded style positions the element inside the tube, which is why this version features M7 sensors mounted internally rather than externally attached.
Compatible with 9000 series systems and all M7 style configurations mounted in the bottom of the control pack.
Important Installation Note: When replacing the original Cal Spa heater in the control pack bottom, you can either cut the white wires from the original unit and attach yellow loop-style crimp connectors, or use pre-made jumper wires.
