This flow-through heater assembly serves as an in-line retrofit solution designed for seamless installation. Features 2" x 15" stainless steel housing with 2" slip tailpieces, dual thermowell grooves with protective cover, 1/8" NPT pressure switch tap, and durable metal box. Pressure switch sold separately.
Important Update: Current production models have been redesigned without insulation wrap or mechanical high limit switch. Since the heating element now operates submerged within the water flow (unlike earlier external-element designs), these components are no longer necessary for safe operation. The major advantage: you can now replace just the element in the future rather than the entire heating assembly, providing significant long-term cost savings and easier maintenance.
This upgraded design eliminates the fire hazard associated with dry-fire conditions that affected earlier XL Heat Exchanger models. The immersed element configuration provides inherently safer operation compared to previous external heating designs.
