Complete seal replacement kit designed for Watkins Wavemaster XP2 Pumps (Vendor #4081) installed in Hotspring spas. Compatible with Wavemaster 6000, 7000, 8000, 8200, 9000, and 9200 series pumps. Each kit includes (1) XP2 Pump Seal plus (1) 1/2 Oz Tube of The Professor's Silly Juice - a specialized silicon sealer formulated specifically for hot tub applications.
Important: Watkins utilized 4 different wet end manufacturers for Wavemaster pumps. Verify your pump displays 4081 on its identification label before ordering.
This seal assembly consists of a spring seal component for the impeller shaft and a ceramic/rubber element that fits into the volute housing. Both seal pieces feature approximately 5/8" center holes. Installation Instructions: Apply silicon sealant to the impeller shaft, then coat lightly with The Professor's Silly Juice before carefully pressing the seal onto the shaft. The rubber component should receive a thin silicon coating to ease insertion into the volute/wet end body.
Service Tip: Leaking seals typically require impeller replacement as well, since water intrusion into the metal shaft area causes expansion and impeller damage. For complete repair solutions, search for Hotspring Wavemaster Impeller Kits.
