This is a 1 Quart Bottle of Metal Control solution designed to prevent metal staining on spa surfaces and eliminate water discoloration caused by elevated metal content in your water supply.
This chemical is available as part of our complete maintenance kit. Our three-ingredient maintenance approach works as follows: Ingredient #1 is Chlorine Sanitizer - dosage depends on your spa's water capacity. For 500 gallon spas use 8 teaspoons weekly, 300-400 gallon spas use 6 teaspoons weekly, and spas under 300 gallons use 5 teaspoons weekly. Ingredient #2 is this Metal Control solution - use 4 caps per week. Ingredient #3 is Non-Chlorine Shock - only use this on days when the spa is actually used, so if you don't use your tub one week, skip #3 that week, but if you use it daily for 7 days, apply #3 all 7 days. The critical factor for success is maintaining consistency by selecting one specific day each week to always add ingredients #1 and #2.
Important: This maintenance program is designed for typical usage patterns of approximately 2-4 soaking sessions per week at roughly 20 minutes each. It is not suitable for heavy or extended use situations such as leaving the cover off for children to play for extended periods. While you can still use this system for heavier use, significantly more chemical will be required. This system's philosophy is to use the minimum amount of chemicals necessary to maintain crystal clear water - nothing more, nothing less. We do not incorporate pH adjusters or require water testing in this system. When followed consistently, this method works reliably every time; inconsistent application results in failure every time.
For 300 Gallons or less: Ingredient #1 - 5 Teaspoons weekly, Ingredient #2 - 4 caps weekly, Ingredient #3 - apply as spa is used.
For 300 to 400 Gallons: Ingredient #1 - 6 Teaspoons weekly, Ingredient #2 - 4 caps weekly, Ingredient #3 - apply as spa is used.
For 400 to 500 Gallons: Ingredient #1 - 8 Teaspoons weekly, Ingredient #2 - 4 caps weekly, Ingredient #3 - apply as spa is used.
