This comprehensive repair kit services 1.0 HP Watkins pumps specifically designed for Wavemaster 48 motors. The impeller features precise specifications: 2 1/8" eye diameter, 1/4" vane width, and 3 7/8" outside diameter. Compatible with Vendor Code# 4081 wet ends.
Electrical Reference Guide: A properly matched 1.0 HP impeller operates at approximately 11-12.0 Amps on high speed with 115V power, or 7-8.0 Amps at 230V. Consult the amperage chart corresponding to your motor voltage to verify correct horsepower.
Important: Installing an oversized impeller will NOT increase spa performance. Incorrect sizing causes motor overheating and potential damage during high-speed operation. Always match impeller specifications to your existing setup.
Frame Size Identification: Distinguish between 48 Frame and 56 Frame wet ends by measuring motor through-bolt spacing. The 48 Frame measures 3 5/8" center-to-center (5 3/16" diagonal X-pattern) with 1/4" bolt heads. The 56 Frame measures 4 1/8" center-to-center (5 3/4" diagonal X-pattern) with 5/16" bolt heads.
