Your purchase includes everything needed for installation: volute, impeller, seal assembly, face plate, wear ring, silicone sealant, mounting screws, plus a barb fitting for connecting a 3/8" bleeder line.
Understanding Frame Size Compatibility: The 48 frame designation refers to motor through-bolt spacing. Measure your existing motor: 48 frame motors have 3 5/8" spacing between bolts (or 5 3/16" measured diagonally in an X pattern). For comparison, 56 frame motors measure 4 1/8" between bolts (or 5 3/4" diagonally).
Verifying Horsepower Requirements: This wet end is engineered for motors drawing approximately 14.0 amps at 230V. Note that 4HP spa pumps operate exclusively on 230V; no 115V options exist at this power rating.
Important Amperage Guide: To ensure correct fitment, always reference the amperage rating on your motor label rather than the stated horsepower. For dual-speed motors, check both amperage values (example format: 10.0/3.5). Use the higher number. Reference chart: 8.0 amps = 1 HP | 10.0 amps = 2 HP | 12.0 amps = 3 HP | 14.0 amps = 4 HP | 16.0 amps = 5 HP.
