Description

This 2 1/2" Pump Union Split Nut Repair Kit provides an emergency solution for broken pump union nuts without replacing the entire union assembly and glued plumbing components. The kit includes one split nut plus (2) mounting screws designed for 2 1/2" pump unions.

Specifications and Measurements:

  • Outer diameter: approximately 3 3/4"
  • Inner thread diameter: approximately 3 5/16"
  • Inside nut measurement: 3 1/4"
  • Compatible with pump threads measuring about 3 5/8" edge to edge
  • Works with 2" or 2 1/2" pump union plumbing

Installation Instructions: Remove the damaged original pump union flange nut by carefully cutting it off using a hacksaw blade or cutting pliers if sufficiently split. Exercise caution to avoid damaging the glued pump union body, as it will be reused. The split nut attaches to the existing pump union body with the included 2 screws, then threads onto the pump with a gasket positioned between the union and pump.

Important Note: This configuration represents the least commonly used version of this repair component.
