This 2" Pump Union Split Nut Emergency Repair Kit provides a cost-effective solution for fixing broken pump unions without replacing all the glued plumbing components. The kit contains one split nut plus two mounting screws designed specifically for 2" pump union applications in hot tubs and spas.
Key Specifications:
- Threaded inner diameter: approximately 3" on the threaded connection side
- Mounting flange inner diameter: approximately 2 3/4" where it attaches to existing union body
- Compatible with 1 1/2" or 2" pump union plumbing
- Fits 2" pump threads (threaded section measures roughly 3" across)
- Includes 2 screws for secure mounting to existing pump union body
Installation Overview: Remove the damaged or broken pump union flange nut by carefully cutting it away using a hacksaw blade or cutting pliers. Exercise caution to avoid damaging the glued pump union body, as this component will be reused. The replacement split nut mounts onto the original union body with the included screws and threads onto the pump with a gasket positioned between the union and pump.
Important Compatibility Note: This split nut is NOT compatible with J-Pump wet ends or Hayward wet ends. Picture shows pump and additional components for reference only - these items are NOT included with this kit. This is the most commonly used version for standard hot tub pump unions.
