Description
This is a Set of Two (2) 2" Spa Pump Union Split Nut Emergency Repair Kits with each kit containing one split nut plus two mounting screws designed for 2" pump unions. Each replacement split nut features internal threading that measures approximately 3" across on the inside threaded portion. The split nut installs onto your existing pump union body using the included 2 screws to secure it firmly in place. The inner diameter of the mounting section measures approximately 2 3/4" and fits over the original pump union holding flange, threading onto your pump with a gasket positioned between the union and pump housing. Designed for spa pumps with 2" threading (where the threaded section measures roughly 3" in diameter), this split nut works with both 1 1/2" and 2" pump union plumbing configurations. This is the most commonly used version for hot tub applications. These repair kits provide an emergency solution for broken pump unions, eliminating the need to replace the entire pump union assembly and cut out glued plumbing connections. Installation requires removing the damaged original pump union flange nut, which can typically be cut away using a hacksaw blade or cutting pliers if sufficiently cracked. Exercise caution during removal to avoid damaging the pump union body itself.
