Description
This complete assembly features a 1 1/2" Street (Spigot) x 1 1/2" Slip Gate Valve paired with a Jacuzzi® J-Style Pump Union and matching O-Ring. The valve design accepts 1 1/2" pipe or fittings measuring 1 7/8" ID on the street side, while the slip end inserts into standard 1 1/2" fittings. Installation requires gluing and securing to Jacuzzi® J pump fittings, with the valve slipping directly into the included pump union. This isolation valve enables water shut-off for pump or heater maintenance without requiring full spa drainage. Verify installation location—if mounted at the pump with 1 1/2" plumbing and the pump wet end features beveled threads measuring 3" across, you have the correct component.
IMPORTANT: Standard 2" pump unions share similar thread measurements but are NOT interchangeable—this union exclusively fits J-Style pumps with their distinctive beveled thread design. The gate valve portion controls water flow for convenient component servicing.
