This comprehensive 2 HP 56 Frame Waterway Executive Wet End assembly with 2 1/2" X 2" dimensions arrives as a complete kit including all necessary components: mounting screws, volute housing, impeller, mechanical seal, seal face plate, wear ring, bleeder barb fitting, and silicone lubricant.
The included Bleeder Barb fitting substitutes for one of the standard plugs, allowing you to attach your existing 3/8" bleeder line from your prior pump installation.
Frame size identification: 56 Frame wet ends feature motor through-bolt spacing of 4 1/8" center-to-center or 5 3/4" measured diagonally in an X pattern, while 48 Frame models measure 3 5/8" center-to-center or 5 3/16" diagonally. This wet end is designed for motors drawing approximately 10.0 Amps at 230V or 16.0 Amps at 115V.
Important Specification: Unlike standard 2" pump unions that measure approximately 3" across, this Executive wet end features an oversized suction port measuring approximately 3 5/8" edge to edge. Verify your current wet end has this larger suction fitting before purchasing.
To determine correct horsepower, locate the amperage rating on your motor label. For dual-speed motors, two values will be shown (example: 10.0/3.5) - use the higher number. Single-speed motors show one value. Amperage-to-HP conversion: 8.0A = 1 HP, 10.0A = 2 HP, 12.0A = 3 HP, 14.0A = 4 HP, 16.0A = 5 HP. Always rely on amperage rather than printed horsepower ratings, as HP specifications are frequently exaggerated. Amperage provides accurate sizing information. Consider your electrical service: two pumps at 16 amps each (32A total) plus a 5.5 KW heater (21A) equals 53 amps total draw - typically exceeding most 50 amp hot tub circuit breakers, confirming that advertised 5+ HP ratings are usually inaccurate.
