This complete Waterway Executive 2 HP 56 Frame 2" X 2" Wet End Assembly includes everything needed for installation: Screws, Volute, Impeller, Seal, Face Plate, Wear Ring, Bleeder Barb, and Silicon gasket compound. The included Bleeder Barb replaces one standard plug, allowing direct connection to your existing 3/8" bleeder hose from your original pump configuration.
To identify correct frame sizing: 56 Frame wet ends feature motor through-bolt spacing of 4 1/8" center-to-center or 5 3/4" measured diagonally in an X pattern. In comparison, 48 Frame units measure 3 5/8" between bolts or 5 3/16" diagonally. This 2 HP wet end assembly operates at approximately 10.0 Amps at 230V or 16.0 Amps at 115V.
For two-speed pump motors, check the label for dual amperage ratings. Single-speed motors display one amperage value. Example format: 10.0/3.5, where 10.0 represents high-speed amperage. Reference guide for actual horsepower by amperage: 8.0A = 1 HP, 10.0A = 2 HP, 12.0A = 3 HP, 14.0A = 4 HP, 16.0A = 5 HP. IMPORTANT: Disregard horsepower ratings printed on motor labels—always verify by amperage for accurate replacement sizing. Motor manufacturers frequently overstate horsepower specifications, but amperage ratings remain factual. Simple electrical calculation: two pumps rated 5 HP at 16 amps each equals 32 amps combined, plus a 5.5 KW heater adds 21 amps, totaling 53 amps—exceeding typical 50 amp spa circuit capacity, proving most pumps aren't actually 5+ HP as claimed.
