Description

This complete Waterway Executive wet end assembly is designed for 5 HP spa pumps with 56 Frame motors and 2" x 2" plumbing connections. The comprehensive kit includes everything needed for installation: volute, impeller, seal, face plate, wear ring, mounting screws, silicone, plus a bleeder barb that replaces one of the standard plugs to reconnect your existing 3/8" bleeder hose from your previous pump configuration.

To verify you have a 56 Frame application, measure the motor through-bolt spacing: 56 Frame motors measure 4 1/8" between bolts or 5 3/4" in an X pattern, while 48 Frame motors measure 3 5/8" between bolts or 5 3/16" in an X pattern.

This wet end is compatible with pumps drawing approximately 16.0 amps at 230V. To confirm proper horsepower, always check the motor label amperage rather than the stated HP rating. For 2-speed pumps, use the higher amperage number (example: 10.0/3.5 means 10.0 amps on high speed). Amperage ratings correspond as follows: 8.0A = 1HP, 10.0A = 2HP, 12.0A = 3HP, 14.0A = 4HP, 16.0A = 5HP. Important: Manufacturers often overstate horsepower ratings, but amperage measurements are accurate. Consider that two pumps at 16 amps each (32A total) plus a 5.5KW heater (21A) would draw 53 amps - exceeding most standard 50 amp hot tub breakers. Always verify actual amperage to ensure you're ordering the correct wet end for your application.
