This complete 5 HP 56 Frame Waterway Executive Wet End Assembly measures 2 1/2" X 2" and includes all necessary components: Screws, Volute, Impeller, Seal, Face, Wear Ring, Bleeder Barb, and Silicon. This comprehensive kit provides everything needed for a complete wet end replacement.
The included Bleeder Barb substitutes for one of the standard plugs, allowing you to reconnect your existing 3/8" bleeder hose from your original pump configuration.
Identifying the correct frame size: 48 Frame wet ends have motor thru bolt spacing of 3 5/8" between bolts or 5 3/16" measured in an X Pattern, while 56 Frame wet ends feature 4 1/8" between bolts or 5 3/4" in an X Pattern. This wet end is compatible with pumps operating at approximately 16.0 Amps at 230V. Note that 5HP pumps are not available in 115v configurations.
Important Sizing Information: Standard 2" pump union fittings measure approximately 3" edge to edge, however this particular wet end features an enlarged front suction side measuring approximately 3 5/8" edge to edge. Verify your current wet end has this larger suction fitting before purchasing.
To determine correct horsepower, locate the amperage rating on your motor label. For 2-speed pumps, you'll see two amperage values (example: 10.0/3.5, where 10.0 represents high speed). For single-speed motors, one amperage value appears. Amperage guide: 8.0 = 1 HP, 10.0 = 2 HP, 12.0 = 3 HP, 14.0 = 4 HP, 16.0 = 5 HP. Always rely on the amperage rating rather than the horsepower listed on the motor label, as amperage provides accurate specification while horsepower ratings can be inconsistent across manufacturers.
