Description
This component features a 1 1/2" Spigot X 1 1/2" Slip Slice Gate Valve paired with a 1 1/2" Heater Union complete with matching Gasket or O-Ring. The valve accepts a 1 1/2" pipe or fitting on the spigot end while the slip side fits inside a 1 1/2" fitting. Installation involves slipping it into the heater union, then gluing and securing with screws to a 1 1/2" Heater Flange fitting. This configuration is commonly installed in 115v plug-and-play hot tub systems. Verify your heater flange measures approximately 2 3/8" across the heater tube flange end. Important: We also stock a slice valve with pump union—confirm your application by checking the connection point. If attached to the heater with 1 1/2" plumbing and 1 1/2" Heater Split Nut threads, you've found the right component. This isolation valve allows you to shut off water flow for servicing your heater or pump without the need to drain your entire spa.
