Description
This component is a 5.5KW Sundance Sentry 850 / 750 Smart Heater Complete Assembly containing the Body, Element, Case and Manual Bimetallic Hi Limit with attached wiring. This assembly incorporates a BiMetallic Backup high limit along with the wiring connections for board integration and matches the factory original specifications. Troubleshooting Tip: Should this heater trip your breaker during testing, disconnect it and verify the breaker remains functional. Reconnect and if tripping recurs, the heater is faulty. For non-breaker issues, use an Ohm meter across the two terminals - proper reading should be approximately 10.5K ohms. A reading of 0K indicates an open circuit. If no breaker tripping occurs and no open circuit is detected, the heater is functioning properly - investigate alternative no-heat causes such as Flow Switch malfunction, clogged filter, water circulation issues, defective Circulation Pump, or board circuit problems.

CRITICAL INSTALLATION NOTICE: This Smart Heater features a reduced diameter dry well. For spa units manufactured before April 2007, the original equipment Hi-Limit Sensor will not fit due to size incompatibility with the new heater's sensor well. Both the Smart Heater and Hi-Limit Sensor must be replaced together as a matched set for proper installation.
