This complete 2 HP 48 Frame Waterway Executive Wet End Assembly in 2 1/2" X 2" configuration includes everything needed: Screws, Volute, Impeller, Seal, Face, and Wear Ring. To identify frame size, measure motor through-bolt spacing: 48 Frame measures 3 5/8" between bolts or 5 3/16" in X pattern, while 56 Frame measures 4 1/8" between or 5 3/4" in X pattern. This wet end is designed for motors drawing approximately 10.0 Amps at 230V or 16.0 Amps at 115V.
Important: The front suction side fitting on this wet end measures approximately 3 5/8" edge to edge, which is larger than standard 2" union fittings that measure about 3" edge to edge. Verify your current wet end has this enlarged suction fitting before purchasing.
To confirm proper horsepower, check the motor label amperage rather than stated HP. For dual-speed pumps, look for two amperage ratings (example: 10.0/3.5); for single-speed, one rating appears. Reference guide: 8.0A = 1 HP, 10.0A = 2 HP, 12.0A = 3 HP, 14.0A = 4 HP, 16.0A = 5 HP. Always rely on amperage specifications instead of horsepower claims on the motor label, as amperage provides accurate power draw information.
