This complete Waterway Executive Wet End Assembly for 5 HP 48 Frame pumps with 2 1/2" X 2" ports includes all necessary components: mounting screws, volute housing, impeller, mechanical seal, seal face, and wear ring. Understanding frame sizing: 48 Frame models feature motor through-bolt spacing of 3 5/8" center-to-center or 5 3/16" measured in an X pattern, while 56 Frame units measure 4 1/8" center-to-center or 5 3/4" in an X pattern.
This wet end assembly is designed for motors drawing approximately 16.0 Amps at 230V operation. Important: All 5HP spa pump configurations operate on 230V only; no 115V options exist for this horsepower rating.
Critical Fitment Notice: Standard 2" pump unions measure approximately 3" across, however this Executive wet end features an oversized intake port measuring approximately 3 5/8" edge to edge on the front suction side. Verify your current wet end has this larger suction connection before purchasing.
To accurately identify your pump's true horsepower, check the amperage rating on your motor label. For dual-speed pumps, you'll see two values (example: 10.0/3.5) - use the higher number. Single-speed motors show one amperage value. Amperage-to-HP guide: 8.0A = 1HP | 10.0A = 2HP | 12.0A = 3HP | 14.0A = 4HP | 16.0A = 5HP.
