Description
This is a complete 2" Pump Union Emergency Repair Kit featuring a split nut, T-style gasket, and (2) mounting screws designed for 2" pump union applications. The split nut component features approximately 3" measurement on the interior threaded section and attaches to your existing pump union body using the included pair of screws. The inner diameter where this split nut mounts onto the original pump union retaining flange measures approximately 2 3/4" and threads directly onto your pump with the gasket positioned between the union and pump. Verify compatibility by confirming your pump union plumbing is 2" and your pump threads are 2" (the threaded section should measure approximately 3" across). This configuration represents the most commonly used version. Hot tub owners utilize this component for emergency pump union repairs, eliminating the need to replace the entire pump union assembly and permanently glued plumbing components. Installation requires removal of the damaged original pump union retaining nut. The old nut can be removed using a hacksaw blade or cutting pliers if sufficiently split. Exercise caution during cutting to avoid damaging the pump union body as it will be reused with this repair kit.
