Description
This complete seal kit includes one PS-200 shaft seal assembly designed for Aqua-Flo pump wet ends plus a 1/2 oz tube of premium silicon sealant specially formulated for hot tub applications. Compatible primarily with Aqua-Flo wet ends and Waterway "Viper" wet ends, along with select other models. The seal assembly features a 5/8" shaft diameter with seal outer dimensions of 1.218" and 1.250" O.D. Each assembly consists of two components: the spring-loaded seal that mounts on the impeller shaft, and the ceramic with rubber backing that installs into the volute housing. Both seal parts accommodate a 5/8" shaft opening.
Installation guidance: Apply the included silicon sealant to the impeller shaft before carefully positioning the spring seal component. Use a thin layer of sealant on the shaft for proper seating. The rubber component benefits from a light silicon coating to ease installation into the wet end body or volute.
Important maintenance note: Leaking seals typically require impeller replacement since water intrusion into the metal shaft area causes expansion and impeller damage.
