Description
This PS-200 Shaft Seal Kit contains (1) complete seal assembly designed for 5/8" shafts with specifications: 1.218" Seal O.D., 1.250" Seal O.D. Primarily engineered for Aqua-Flo pump wet ends, this Buna seal also works with select Waterway "Viper" and EX2 wet end models. The assembly includes a spring-loaded component for the impeller shaft plus a ceramic and rubber piece for the volute housing. Both components feature a 5/8" center bore.
Installation requires applying silicone sealant to the impeller shaft before gently pressing the spring seal into position. A thin coating of silicone on the rubber component helps it slide smoothly into the volute body. Important: Leaking seals typically indicate impeller replacement is necessary, as moisture intrusion into the metal shaft area causes expansion and impeller damage.
Compatible with Aqua-Flo wet ends and other manufacturers. Kit includes seal components only - additional parts shown are for reference purposes.
