Description

This Waterway Executive 4 HP 56 Frame wet end assembly features 2" x 2" plumbing connections and arrives as a complete replacement kit including volute, impeller, seal assembly, wear ring, and mounting hardware. Designed for 56 Frame motors with thru-bolt spacing of 4 1/8" center-to-center (or 5 3/4" measured diagonally in an X pattern). For comparison, 48 Frame units measure 3 5/8" between bolts or 5 3/16" diagonally.

Compatibility Guide: This wetend is engineered for motors drawing approximately 14.0 Amps at 230V. Note that 4 HP spa pumps are not available in 115V configurations.

Important Sizing Information: Always verify compatibility using the amperage rating found on your motor's data label rather than the horsepower claim. For dual-speed pumps, you'll see two amp ratings (example: 10.0/3.5). Use the higher number. Reference chart: 8.0A = 1HP | 10.0A = 2HP | 12.0A = 3HP | 14.0A = 4HP | 16.0A = 5HP

Why Amperage Matters: Horsepower claims are often exaggerated by manufacturers, but amperage ratings are accurate and verifiable. Many spa owners believe they have 5HP pumps, but the electrical math tells the real story. Two genuine 5HP pumps (16A each = 32A) plus a 5.5KW heater (21A) would require 53 total amps—exceeding most 50A breaker panels. Trust the amperage, not the horsepower marketing.

This Waterway Executive wetend is available in multiple horsepower configurations (1HP through 5HP) for 56 Frame applications, all featuring the same 2" x 2" port sizing.
