Description
This complete 1 HP 56 Frame Waterway Executive wet end assembly measures 2 1/2" x 2" and includes everything needed: Volute, Impeller, Seal, Face, Wear Ring, Bleeder Barb, Silicon, and mounting hardware.
The included Bleeder Barb substitutes for one standard plug, allowing you to reattach your existing 3/8" bleeder hose from your original pump configuration.
Frame sizing reference: 56 Frame units feature 4 1/8" spacing between motor through-bolts (or 5 3/4" measured in an X pattern), compared to 48 Frame models with 3 5/8" spacing (or 5 3/16" X pattern). This wet end is designed for motors drawing approximately 8.0 Amps at 230V or 12.0 Amps at 115V.
Important: This wet end features an oversized front suction port measuring approximately 3 5/8" edge to edge, larger than standard 2" union fittings which measure about 3" edge to edge. Verify your current wet end has this larger suction fitting before purchasing.
To determine correct horsepower, check your motor label for amperage ratings. For 2-speed pumps, you'll see two values (example: 10.0/3.5). Use the higher number. Single-speed motors show one amperage. Reference guide: 8.0 Amps = 1 HP, 10.0 Amps = 2 HP, 12.0 Amps = 3 HP, 14.0 Amps = 4 HP, 16.0 Amps = 5 HP. Always rely on amperage rather than stated horsepower, as HP ratings are often inaccurate. Example: Two actual 5 HP pumps at 16 amps each equals 32 amps, plus a 5.5 KW heater at 21 amps totals 53 amps—exceeding most 50 amp hot tub breakers, proving most systems don't actually have 5+ HP pumps.
