This complete 4 HP 56 Frame Waterway Executive Wet End assembly includes everything needed: 2 1/2" X 2" Volute, Impeller, Seal, Face Plate, Wear Ring, Mounting Screws, Bleeder Barb, and Silicon for a professional installation.
The included Bleeder Barb substitutes for one standard plug, allowing easy reconnection of your existing 3/8" bleeder hose from your previous pump assembly.
Frame size identification: 56 Frame models feature motor thru bolt spacing of 4 1/8" center-to-center or 5 3/4" measured in an X pattern, while 48 Frame models measure 3 5/8" center-to-center or 5 3/16" in an X pattern. This wet end matches pumps drawing approximately 14.0 Amps at 230V. Note that 4HP configurations are not available in 115V.
Important Fitting Information: Standard 2" pump unions measure approximately 3" edge-to-edge, however this Executive wet end features an enlarged suction port measuring approximately 3 5/8" edge-to-edge. Verify your current wet end has this larger suction fitting before purchasing.
To determine correct horsepower, locate the amperage rating on your motor label. For dual-speed motors, two values appear (example: 10.0/3.5, where 10.0 is high-speed amperage). Single-speed motors show one value. Amperage-to-HP conversion: 8.0A = 1 HP, 10.0A = 2 HP, 12.0A = 3 HP, 14.0A = 4 HP, 16.0A = 5 HP. Always rely on amperage ratings rather than printed horsepower claims, as motor horsepower is often exaggerated. Amperage provides accurate performance data. Example calculation: Two pumps at 16A (32A total) plus a 5.5 KW heater (21A) equals 53A total draw, which exceeds typical 50A hot tub breakers, confirming most installations don't actually have the claimed 5+ HP pumps.
