Description
This component is a complete 2.5HP Aqua-Flo wet end assembly featuring 2" x 2" ports (approximately 3" across threads) with side discharge configuration for 48 frame XP2 pump systems. This wet end assembly requires a 48 frame motor rated at approximately 11.0 Amps on High Speed at 230V and is not compatible with 115v motors. Compatible motors include both single and dual speed configurations. The discharge position can be adjusted by rotating the wet end 90 degrees. This complete assembly includes all essential components: volute housing, mechanical seal, impeller, wear ring, suction cover, suction cover o-ring, drain plug with o-ring, and all necessary mounting screws.
For installations requiring a barb fitting on the wet end face for small hose connections, consider these compatible options with or without sealant. We recommend using silicone sealant for these fittings as pipe tape does not provide reliable sealing:

Important: Always select HP rating based on your motor's amperage rating per the reference chart. A 48 frame motor measures approximately 5 1/2" across the housing with 1/4" hex heads on thru-bolts and approximately 5 3/16" between thru-bolts in cross pattern. A 56 frame motor measures approximately 6 1/4" across the housing with 5/16" hex heads on thru-bolts and approximately 5 7/8" between thru-bolts in cross pattern.
